Medical Description

Toujeo 300U/ml Cartridge (1.5ml each) is a long-acting insulin medicine used to control high blood sugar levels in people with diabetes mellitus. It contains insulin glargine, which works like the natural insulin produced by your body. Insulin helps move sugar from your blood into the cells, where it is used to produce energy. By controlling blood sugar levels, this medicine helps reduce the risk of complications such as kidney damage, nerve problems, eye damage, and heart disease.

This insulin works slowly and steadily over a long period, providing continuous blood sugar control throughout the day and night. It helps maintain stable sugar levels between meals and while sleeping. However, this medicine works best when combined with a proper diet, regular exercise, and routine blood sugar monitoring as advised by your doctor.

Toujeo 300U/ml Cartridge (1.5ml each) is given as an injection under the skin, usually in the abdomen, thigh, or upper arm. It should be taken at the same time every day for consistent results. Your doctor will decide the correct dose based on your blood sugar levels and individual needs. Do not stop or change the dose on your own, as this may lead to uncontrolled blood sugar levels.

Some people may experience side effects such as low blood sugar, redness, swelling, or itching at the injection site. Symptoms of low blood sugar include sweating, dizziness, hunger, and weakness. It is important to recognize these symptoms early and take sugar or glucose if needed. Regular follow-ups with your doctor and proper monitoring will help ensure that the medicine works safely and effectively.

How Does It Work?
