Sodicarb 500 MG Description
Sodicarb tablet comes under the therapeutic classification of antacids. Sodicarb tablet is composed of sodium bicarbonate. Sodicarb tablet is most commonly used to treat gastric ulcers, duodenal ulce
rs, Zollinger Ellison syndrome and gastroesophageal reflux disease. Zollinger Ellison syndrome refers to a condition in which tumours are formed in the pancreas or upper part of the intestine. These tumours secrete large amounts of gastrin hormone, which causes your stomach to produce more acid. Gastroesophageal reflux disease is the reverse flow of your stomach acid back into the tube connecting the mouth and oesophagus. These secreted acids can damage the inner lining of your stomach and cause ulcers. Sodicarb tablet is a prescription medicine, and it is to be taken exactly as suggested by the physician. The medicine should not be taken in more than prescribed amounts. The physician should be consulted immediately if the patient experiences any side effects, the condition worsens or allergic side effects. The medicine should be continued for as long as your doctor recommends. The medicine should not be given to anyone else, even if they have the same symptoms or condition. Also, the doctor should be informed about the patient’s medical history and if they are taking any new medicines to avoid any medication interactions.
