Mode of Action of Sazo 1 G
How Does It Work?
Sazo 1000mg acts by preventing the hyperactivity of immune system. It treats the pain and inflammation by inhibiting the release of Prostaglandins.
Directions for Use of Sazo 1 G
Take the entire tablet at once, but do not chew. Consume it whole with a glass of water. Breaking the tablet is not advisable, kindly consult your doctor in case of any doubts.
Interactions of Sazo 1 G
Interactions with other medicines
Digoxin decreases the absorption of sulfasalazine. When taken in parellel with few anticancer medicines like 6-mercaptopurines, azathioprines; it may cause leucopenia and bone marrow supression.
Simultaneous administration of sulfasalazine and methotrexate may cause nausea in rheumatoid arthiritis patients....
Other general Interactions
Patients with low sugar levels should practice caution while taking sulfasazine, It may cause hypoglycemia as it mimics few characteristics of oral hypoglycemic agents.
