Rumagesic Strip Of 10 Capsules Description
Rumagesic strip of 10 capsules contain a combination of two medicines, namely, ibuprofen and paracetamol. This capsule is used to treat muscle pain, back pain, rheumatic pain, headache, pain during p
eriods, and tooth pain. Rumagesic capsule also helps to get relief from cold. Ibuprofen and paracetamol work together to reduce inflammation, pain, and fever. Ibuprofen is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory agent (NSAID) use to relieve pain. Ibuprofen helps to reduce the production of molecules that are responsible for causing pain and inflammation. Paracetamol also helps to lower body temperature.

Mode of Action of Rumagesic Strip Of 10 Capsules
How Does It Work?
Ibuprofen and paracetamol reduces the production of prostaglandins, a molecule that causes inflammation. Paracetamol also helps to reduce fever.

- Rumagesic capsules is to be taken orally as directed by the physician
- Rumagesic capsules can be consumed with out without food
- Do not use the capsules if the packaging is not proper
Interactions of Rumagesic Strip Of 10 Capsules
Interactions with other medicines
- Rumagesic capsules can reduce the effect of blood pressure-lowering medications
- Concomitant use of cardiac glycosides can lead to heart failure and kidney problems. It also raises blood levels of cardiac glycosides.
- Rumagesic capsules may reduce the excretion of methotrexate from the body
- Ibuprofen and aspirin can increase the risk of bleeding
- Rumagesic capsules can increase the effects of warfarin and heparin
- Concomitant use of quinolones can increase the risk of convulsions
- Domperidone and Metoclopramide may increase action of absorption of Paracetamol
- Concomitant use of cholestyramine reduces absorption molecules present in Rumagesic capsules
- Concomitant use of anti-diabetic medicine called sulphonylureas can increase the effects of sulphonylureas
- Concomitant use of zidovudine can cause blood-related problems
- Rumagesic capsules can reduce the excretion of aminoglycosides
- Concomitant use of CYP2C9 inhibitors can increase the Ibuprofen levels in the body

Dosage of Rumagesic Strip Of 10 Capsules
Overdose
Overdose can cause headache, dizziness, nausea, vomiting, lethargy, drowsiness, stomach pain, tinnitus, low blood pressure, irregular heartbeats, diarrhoea, apnoea, stomach bleeding, hypothermia (low body temperature), loss of consciousness, or coma.
