- You have Neuroleptic Malignant Syndrome (NMS).
- You have Tardive dyskinesia. You may experience involuntary tongue, lip, and face movements.
- You have a history of seizures.
- You must caution the elderly about the increased risk of orthostatic hypotension and renal injury while taking this medication.
- Your blood glucose and cholesterol levels may increase while taking this medication. Your blood glucose and lipid levels must be monitored frequently.
- You must not give this medicine to children under 13 years who have schizophrenia or children under ten years who have bipolar illness.
Directions for Use
- Read all medication recommendations and follow the directions on your prescription label.
- The doctor will determine the frequency of the dose of administration.
- Give the oral suspension (liquid) a vigorous shake before measuring a dose. Using a measuring cup, carefully measure liquid medicine.
- Never give Risnia Syrup to someone else, especially if they have a history of medication abuse or addiction. Addiction, overdose and death can occur in case of misuse.

- Overdosing on Risnia syrup is uncommon, but it can be fatal. Severe drowsiness, increased heartbeat, light-headedness, fainting, and restless muscle movements in the eyes, tongue, jaw, or neck are signs of an overdose. Talk to your doctor immediately if you feel you have taken an overdose.

- Anticonvulsants like Carbamazepine lowers risperidone serum concentrations in blood.
