Medical Description
Nucoxia MR tablet is a medication used to treat pain, swelling, and inflammatory conditions that affect muscles or surrounding joints. It contains a combination of etoricoxib and thiocolchicoside as active ingredients. Etoricoxib belongs to a class of medicines called NSAIDs (non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs), while thiocolchicoside acts as a muscle relaxant. Nucoxia MR tablet works by hindering the effect of chemicals that cause pain, inflammation, and fever. Additionally, it helps to relax the contracted muscles.
Pain and fever occur when the body produces large amounts of a chemical called prostaglandin in response to an injury or infection. Inflammation occurs when chemicals are released from the tissues and cells in the body. The symptoms of inflammation include joint pain, redness, and swelling.
To get the best results, take this medicine in the exact dose and duration as recommended by your doctor. You can take it with or without food, but it's preferable to take it with food to avoid stomach upset. Swallow it as a whole with a glass of water. Do not take more than the prescribed dose. Some other tablets which contain the same medicinal ingredients are Etoshine MR, Fitdent MR, Etos MR, Ezact MR and Brutaflam MR.
Do not take this medicine if you are allergic to any of its components. Before taking Nucoxia MR tablet, inform your doctor if you are pregnant, planning on becoming pregnant, or breastfeeding, and also inform them about your complete medical history. Additionally, inform the doctor about all other medicines and supplements you take.
