Medical Description
Nucoxia 90 Tablet is an anti-inflammatory medication that provides relief from pain, swelling, stiffness, and inflammation caused by conditions such as osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, and gout. It is also prescribed for short-term management of acute pain resulting from other medical issues. The tablet contains etoricoxib, which is part of the NSAID (non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug) class, specifically a COX-2 inhibitor, known for its targeted action in reducing inflammation.
The active ingredient, etoricoxib, works by blocking the release of prostaglandins, chemicals responsible for pain, swelling, and redness. By reducing prostaglandin levels, Nucoxia 90 helps patients experience better joint mobility, less stiffness, and overall pain relief, thereby enhancing their quality of life.
Nucoxia 90 should always be taken exactly as your doctor instructs. It is generally recommended to be taken with or after meals to prevent stomach irritation. Do not exceed the prescribed dose or extend treatment duration without medical advice. Children under 16 years of age should not be given this medication.
Common side effects include nausea, diarrhoea, headache, dizziness, and stomach pain. These are usually mild and temporary. However, if they persist, worsen, or if symptoms like chest pain, shortness of breath, or swelling in the legs occur, seek immediate medical help. Patients with a history of heart issues, high blood pressure, stomach ulcers, or kidney or liver problems should inform their healthcare provider before starting treatment.
Other brands containing etoricoxib 90 mg include Etoshine 90 tablet, Fitdent 90 tablet, Intacoxia 90 tablet, Etozox 90 tablet, Ezact 90 tablet, and Etos 90 tablet. Always use Nucoxia 90 under medical supervision to ensure safe and effective management of pain and inflammation.
