Monit Gtn 2.6 MG Description

Monit GTN 2.6 tablet is used to prevent chest pain caused by angina pectoris and spasms in the blood vessels of the heart, mainly due to blockages in the heart vessels. It contains glyceryl trinitrate or nitroglycerin as its active component. It acts as a vasodilator that helps in dilating and relaxing the blood vessels of the heart, thus reducing the pressure on the heart by making it easier to pump blood.

Other medications that contain glyceryl trinitrate/nitroglycerin as an active component include Nitrolong CR tablet, Nitrocontin 2.6 tablet, GTN Sorbitrate CR tablet, Myonit SR tablet and Angiwell tablet You should take this medicine as advised by your doctor. You should never stop taking this medicine without consulting your doctor, as it may increase the risk of heart-related complications. Inform your doctor about all the known medical conditions and medication history.
