Medical Description
Nitrolong 2.6 tablet is used to prevent chest pain caused by angina pectoris, spasms in the blood vessels of the heart mainly due to blockages in the heart vessels. It contains glyceryl trinitrate or nitroglycerin as its active component. This medicine acts as a vasodilator by dilating and relaxing the blood vessels of the heart, thus reducing the pressure on the heart by making it easier to pump blood. Nitrolong 2.6 tablets should be taken as directed by the doctor and in doses and duration as prescribed.
Other medications that contain glyceryl trinitrate/nitroglycerin as an active component include Nitrocontin 2.6 tablet, Monit GTN tablet, GTN Sorbitrate CR tablet, Myonit SR tablet and Angiwell tablet. Inform your doctor if you are pregnant, planning a pregnancy or breastfeeding and about all the medicines and supplements you take and all the conditions or diseases you suffer from before starting this medicine.
