Metrik 0.125 MG Description
Metrik Tablet contains methyl ergometrine. It is used after childbirth to prevent or stop uterine bleeding. Metrik works by increasing the rate and strength of uterine contractions which helps in con
trolling bleeding. Headache, high blood pressure, nausea or vomiting are some of the side effects of Metrik Tablet. If side effects do not go away on their own or your condition doesn't improve over time then inform your doctor.

Breast Feeding

Components of Metrik Tablet are known to pass into the breastmilk and can cause undesirable effects in the breastfed babies. Lactating mother should not breastfeed her baby during the treatment with this medicine and for at least 12 hours after taking the last dose of this medicine. Breastmilk recreated during this period should be discarded.
Driving

Can I drive if I have consumed Metrik Tablet?

Taking Metrik Tablet can cause dizziness. Avoid driving if you have dizziness after taking this medicine.
Alcohol

Can I consume alcohol with Metrik Tablet?

Consumption of alcohol along with Metrik Tablet can increase dizziness. Avoid alcohol consumption if you are taking this medicine.
Other General Warnings

How Does It Work?
Metrik Tablet works by increasing the rate and strength of uterine contractions which helps in decreasing bleeding.
Directions for Use of Metrik 0.125 MG
- Take Metrik Tablet with or without food as prescribed by your doctor.
- Swallow it as a whole with a glass of water. Do not cut, break or chew the medicine. It can be taken with or after food.

Interactions with other medicines
- Some medicines can affect the way Metrik Tablet works or this medicine itself can reduce the effectiveness of other medicines taken at the same time.

Missed a Dose
If you have missed taking any dose of Metrik Tablet, then take it as soon as you remember. If it's already time for the next dose then skip the missed dose and follow your regular dosing schedule.
