Uses
- Used for the management of anxiety disorders or for the short term relief of symptoms of anxiety or anxiety associated with depressive symptoms.
- Used as a premedication (for adults and children five years and above).
Contraindications
- If you are allergic or hypersensitive to Lorazepam or any other active ingredients present in the medicine.
- If you have acute Narrow-Angle Glaucoma (increased pressure in the eye)
- If you have Myasthenia Gravis (weakness and rapid fatigue of muscles)

Directions for Use
- Always take the Lopez Md 1 mg Tablet as directed by your doctor.
- You can take Lopez Md 1 mg Tablet with or without food.

- Dosage should be taken in recommended amounts at a particular time in a day to get maximum benefits and desired clinical effect.

How Does It Work?
Interactions
Interactions with other medicines
- Interaction with HIV Protease Inhibitors like Zidovudine because of increased risk of prolonged sedation and increased zidovudine clearance.
- Interaction with other benzodiazepines and opioids like Codeine and Morphine increases the risk of sedation, respiratory depression, and coma because of the additive CNS depressant effect.
- Interaction with anti-epileptic drugs like Phenobarbital can increase the risk of depression and elevation of drug levels.
- Interactions with Clozapine have shown reports of marked sedation, excessive salivation, hypotension and respiratory arrest.
Interactions with food items
- Unless your physician suggests the same, there is no need to avoid any type of food or drink.
