Ivabrad 5 Tablet
Description
Ivabrad 5 Tablet is a heart rate-lowering medicine containing ivabradine as its active ingredient. It is used to treat stable angina (heart-related chest pain) and long-term heart failure. Slowing the heart rate helps reduce chest pain episodes, improve heart function, and ease symptoms like breathlessness and fatigue. Irban 5 tablet, Inapure 5 tablet, Ivabid 5 tablet and Coralan 5 tablet are some other medicines that contain ivabradine.
Avoid taking Ivabrad 5 Tablet if you are allergic to ivabradine, have a very slow heart rate, irregular heart rhythms, severe low blood pressure, severe liver problems, or are pregnant or breastfeeding. It is not recommended for children or adolescents below 18 years of age. Common side effects may include brief flashes of light or increased brightness in vision, slow heart rate, dizziness, headache, irregular heartbeat and blurred vision.
Take Ivabrad 5 Tablet exactly in the dose and duration prescribed by your doctor. It should be taken with food, usually twice a day. Do not stop taking it suddenly without medical advice, as this can worsen your heart condition. Before starting this medicine, inform your doctor about your complete medical history, especially any heart rhythm disorders, recent stroke, blood pressure problems, or eye diseases, and give a list of all other medicines you are taking.
