Uses of Hexab Emulsion 100ml

Hexab Emulsion is used for the treatment of scabies (infestations of a mite called Sarcoptes scabiei).

Contraindications of Hexab Emulsion 100ml

  • If you are allergic to cetrimide, gamma benzene hexachloride or any of the other ingredients of Hexab Emulsion.
  • In body cavities like the mouth or ear or as an enema (a treatment to clean the bowel).
  • If you are using Hexab Emulsion near the eyes and middle ear and surrounding areas.
  • If you are using this medicine in premature infants.
  • If you have crusted (Norwegian) scabies and other skin conditions (atopic dermatitis, psoriasis).
  • If you have a known uncontrolled seizure/fits disorder.

  • Cetrimide is an antiseptic medicine that kills or stops the growth of microorganisms that cause scabies.
  • Gamma benzene hexachloride is an anti-parasitic medicine that gets directly absorbed into the parasites and their ova (mature female reproductive cell) and kills the scabies-causing parasite.
