Gemcal-D3 capsule is a health supplement for maintaining strong bones. It is used to treat or prevent low levels of calcium in the body during calcium deficiency. Gemcal-D3 capsule is also used to su

pplement calcium during growth, pregnancy, and lactation, and can also be used for treating bone weakness conditions like osteoporosis. Gemcal-D3 capsule contains calcium and Vitamin D3/cholecalciferol as active substances. This supplement is prescribed to a patient whose dietary intake of calcium is less than the recommended amount. Calcium is necessary for the normal functioning of nerves, cells, muscles, and bones. Vitamin D helps absorb calcium and phosphorus in the body. However, when the amount of calcium in the blood is less, the body takes up the calcium from bones, thereby weakening bones. Gemcal-D3 capsule should be taken exactly as recommended by the doctor or as per the instruction leaflet.

When taken in excess or in high doses for too long, excessive vitamin D and calcium can cause an overdose.
An overdose can cause loss of appetite, nausea, vomiting, constipation, kidney stones, bone pain, excessive thirst, increased calcium in the blood, urine, muscle weakness, irregular heartbeats.
If you think you have taken too much of Gemcal-D3 capsule, stop taking it and contact your doctor immediately.

A: You may experience constipation, vomiting, nausea, loss of appetite, feeling thirsty, stomach pain, muscle weakness and a high level of calcium in the urine.
