Medical Description

Gaba Gel is a pain-relieving medicine used to treat neuropathic pain. Neuropathic pain is long-lasting pain caused by damage or injury to the nerves due to diabetes, sciatica, operation, or trauma. Gaba Gel contains a combination of gabapentin and lidocaine as active substances that work by reducing pain, redness, and swelling. Gaba Gel is meant for external application only. You should use this ointment exactly as recommended by the doctor. Do not use more Gaba Gel or apply it more often than recommended by your doctor. This medicine should not be used in children less than 18 years of age.

Uses

Gaba Gel is used for the treatment of long-lasting pain caused by damage or injury to the nerves due to diabetes, sciatica, operation, or trauma.

Contraindications

  • If you are allergic to gabapentin, lidocaine, or any other ingredient of Gaba Gel.
  • If you are allergic to any amide-type local anaesthetic like bupivacaine, ropivacaine. If you are not sure what these medicines are, please confirm with your doctor.
