Medical Description
Etolon capsule is a prescription oral medicine containing etoposide, a cytotoxic medicine used in the treatment of certain types of cancer, including small-cell lung cancer and testicular cancer.
This medicine is provided as capsule that you take by mouth. Swallow the capsule whole with water, and never open, crush, or chew them, as the medicine inside must be handled with extreme care. Your doctor will decide the exact dose and how many days in a row you should take it, followed by rest periods.
Because this medicine can significantly affect blood cell production, you will need regular check-ups and blood tests while taking it. These tests help your healthcare team make sure your blood counts are safe and monitor for treatment-related side effects.
Taking Etolon capsule requires careful guidance from an experienced cancer specialist. Always follow your medical team's instructions closely, keep all your appointments, and contact your doctor immediately if you have questions or feel unwell during treatment.
