Do Re Me 50 MG Description
Do Re Me tablet is a prescription medicine used to treat depression, depression associated with psychotic symptoms and anxiety disorder. It can also be used to treat chronic pain and neuropathic pain
. Do Re Me tablet contains dosulepin as an active ingredient. Dosulepin is also known as Dothiepin in some countries. It is an antidepressant that works by increasing a specific chemical messenger in the brain called serotonin and norepinephrine. These chemical messengers are responsible for balancing mood and behaviour. Do Re Me tablet dosage should be taken as per the doctor’s prescription. Many side effects are associated with this medicine, including drowsiness, headache, nausea, vomiting, dry mouth, diarrhoea, or constipation. Increased sweating, so the doses should be carefully monitored. Sudden discontinuation of the Do Re Me tablet may cause clinical worsening of your condition or may result in withdrawal symptoms.

- As per CDSCO and MHRA-UK, the Do Re Me tablet is used for the following:
- Treatment of depression or depression associated with psychotic symptoms
- Treatment of anxiety disorder
- Treatment of neuropathic pain
- Treatment of chronic pain
Contraindications of Do Re Me 50 MG
- Do Re Me tablet is contraindicated in the following cases:
- If you have an allergic reaction to any components of the Do Re Me tablet
- If you are already taking antidepressants, anti-anxiety or sedative medications
- If you are taking narcotic or opioid pain relievers
- If you have heart disease, like a heart attack, irregular heart rhythm
- If are diagnosed with closed-angle glaucoma, a severe eye condition
- If you have any self-harming or suicidal thoughts and behaviour
- If you have liver and kidney disease
- If you are pregnant
- If you are a breastfeeding mother

How Does It Work?
Directions for Use of Do Re Me 50 MG
- Take Do Re Me tablet as prescribed by the doctor.
- Take Do Re Me tablet with or without food or as prescribed.
- Take Do Re Me tablet on a regular schedule, preferably at the same time every day.
- Take the tablet as a whole without crushing or breaking it and swallow it orally with a glass of water.
- Do not take Do Re Me tablet with other medications without consulting your doctor.
- Do not stop taking Do Re Me tablet abruptly, as it may lead to withdrawal symptoms.
- Do not exceed the Do Re Me tablet dosage on your own, even if you cannot feel its effects.
- Check the expiry date on the strip of tablets before taking the medication.
Interactions of Do Re Me 50 MG
Interactions with other medicines
- Concomitant use of Do Re Me tablet with other CNS depressants like Alprazolam and opioids like Codeine is strictly contraindicated, as it may cause respiratory depression, coma and death.
- Do Re Me tablet should not be used concomitantly or within two weeks of using Monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOIs) like isocarboxazid, linezolid, methylene blue, Selegiline, Rasagiline, etc. It is potentially life-threatening....
- Do Re Me tablet interaction with other antidepressants, antihistamines (allergy medicines), Pain killers, such as morphine, oxycodone, fentanyl, hydrocodone, tramadol, codeine, sleeping pills, etc., can increase drowsiness and fatigue....
- Do Re Me tablet Interaction with antibiotics like Clarithromycin, antifungals like ketoconazole, and migraine medicines like Sumatriptan can decrease their effects.
- Do Re Me tablet interaction with herbal products like St John’s wort can lead to life-threatening side effects.
Interactions with food items
- Avoid consuming tyramine rich foods such as cheese, milk, meat, chocolate, chicken liver, grapefruit juice, etc., while taking Do Re Me tablet.
