Depsonil Dz Tablet Description

Depsonil Dz is used for the treatment of major depressive disorders. Major depressive disorder or depression is a mood disorder characterised by sadness, loss of interest, mood swings, hopelessness a

d loneliness etc. Depsonil Dz contains Imipramine and Diazepam as the active ingredient. Imipramine is an antidepressant that regulates the chemical messenger called Serotonin and norepinephrine, whereas Diazepam produces calming, sedative effects on the brain. Depsonil Dz dosage should be taken as advised by your doctor. This medicine should not be taken without consulting a doctor as there are many side effects associated with this medicine. Do not stop taking this medicine suddenly without consulting your doctor, as it can cause clinical worsening of your condition or may lead to withdrawal symptoms.

Contraindications of Depsonil Dz Tablet

  • If you are allergic to any component of the Depsonil Dz, i.e. Imipramine and Diazepam.
  • If you are already taking antidepressants, anti-anxiety or sedative medications.
  • If you are taking narcotic or opioid pain relievers.
  • If you have acute angle glaucoma, which increases the fluid pressure in the eyes.
  • If you are experiencing suicidal thoughts or ideation.
  • If you have respiratory depression, which is a slow and steady decline in breathing.
  • If you have a history of substance abuse.
  • If you have liver and kidney disease.
  • If you are pregnant.
  • If you are a breastfeeding mother.

Directions for Use of Depsonil Dz Tablet

  • Take Depsonil Dz as prescribed by the doctor.
  • You can take this medicine with or without food or as prescribed.
  • Take this medicine on a regular schedule, preferably at the same time every day.
  • Consume the whole tablet with a glass of water. Do not crush/break the tablet or chew this medicine.
  • Do not take this tablet with other medications without consulting your doctor.
  • Don’t stop taking this medication abruptly, as it may lead to withdrawal symptoms.
