Codylex T Syrup is a combination medication that aids in the treatment of dry cough. It relieves allergies-related runny noses, stuffy noses, sneezing, watery eyes, congestion, and stuffiness. Nause
a, vomiting, lightheadedness, constipation, shortness of breath, and sweating are the most prevalent adverse effects. The majority of symptoms are temporary and will fade away with time. Contact your doctor straight away if you have any concerns about any of these adverse effects. Continue taking Codylex T Syrup for as long as your doctor recommends. If you stop taking your medicine without completing the recommended course, your symptoms may return, and the condition may worsen.

Codylex T Syrup is an antitussive opioid analgesic that acts by binding to opioid receptors in the central nervous system. It binds to mu-type, kappa-type, and delta-type opioid receptors, inhibiting the production of neurotransmitters such as GABA, substance P, and acetylcholine, which are important for the transmission of pain sensations. Triprolidine is an antiallergic medication that works by blocking the action of a chemical messenger called histamine, which can cause cough in allergy sufferers....

- Patients who take this medication in combination with other narcotic analgesics like fentanyl, antipsychotics like fluoxetine, anti-anxiety medicines like alprazolam, or other CNS depressants (such as alcohol) may have additive CNS depression. One or both medicine doses should be reduced when considering a combination therapy....
- When anticholinergics like dicyclomine and codeine are combined, paralytic ileus can occur.
- Monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAO inhibitors) like selegiline prolong and intensify the anticholinergic effects of antihistamines (or for 14 days after ending MAOI therapy).
- Antihistamines like cetirizine may interact with alcohol and other CNS depressants such as hypnotics, sedatives, tranquillisers, and anti-anxiety medicines.
