a, vomiting, lightheadedness, constipation, shortness of breath, and sweating are the most prevalent adverse effects. The majority of symptoms are temporary and will fade away with time. Contact your doctor straight away if you have any concerns about any of these adverse effects. Continue taking Codylex T Syrup for as long as your doctor recommends. - You have acute alcohol intoxication. Codylex T Syrup increases the risk of severe respiratory depression and death.
- You have a history of substance abuse and addiction. Codylex T Syrup can be habit-forming if taken for an extended period of time. If you notice any changes in your mood or behaviour while taking this medication, talk to your doctor....

Interactions with other medicines

- Codylex T Syrup is known to interact with the following medicines:
- Patients who take this medication in combination with other narcotic analgesics like fentanyl, antipsychotics like fluoxetine, anti-anxiety medicines like alprazolam, or other CNS depressants (such as alcohol) may have additive CNS depression. One or both medicine doses should be reduced when considering a combination therapy....
- When anticholinergics like dicyclomine and codeine are combined, paralytic ileus can occur.
- Monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAO inhibitors) like selegiline prolong and intensify the anticholinergic effects of antihistamines (or for 14 days after ending MAOI therapy).
- Antihistamines like cetirizine may interact with alcohol and other CNS depressants such as hypnotics, sedatives, tranquillisers, and anti-anxiety medicines.
