Medical Description

Biocof Mint Flavour Syrup 60ml consists of three active ingredients, namely, Cetirizine, Dextromethorphan, and Phenylephrine. This medicine is used to treat dry cough and symptoms of common cold and allergy. Cetirizine inhibits the action of a natural molecule called histamine that causes allergy. Dextromethorphan is a cough suppressant that works by lowering cough centre activity in the brain. Phenylephrine is a decongestant that works by narrowing the tiny blood vessels in the nose to relieve congestion and stuffiness. This medicine is only available on a doctor's prescription and should be taken at a dose and for a duration prescribed by the doctor. Do not use this medicine during pregnancy and breastfeeding unless recommended by a doctor. Before taking this medicine, inform your doctor if you are allergic to any ingredients or consuming any medications. You should also inform your doctor if you have other health problems.
