Uses
- Blonitas 2mg Tab is used in the following cases:
- Treatment of schizophrenia
- Treatment of bipolar maintenance
- Treatment of bipolar depression
- Treatment of acute mania
- Treatment of behavioural disturbances in dementia
- Treatment of ailments connected with problems with impulse control
- Treatment of behavioural disturbances in children and adolescents
- Treatment of other psychotic disorders
Contraindications
- Blonitas 2mg Tab is contraindicated in the following cases:
- If you are allergic to Blonanserin
- If you are a Parkinson's patient
- If you have had a personal or family history of substance abuse
- If you have kidney or liver disorders
Side effects
- Patients treated with Blonitas 2 mg Tab usually experience the following side effects:
- Dyskinesias (uncontrolled, erratic movements of the face, arms or trunk)
- Parkinsonism (reduced or slow movements, pill-rolling tremor and cogwheel muscle rigidity)
- Akathisia (motor restlessness)
- Dystonias (movement disorder where muscles move involuntarily)
- These side effects should subside when the body adjusts itself to Blonitas 2mg Tab. Inform your doctor if your side effects do not go away or become worse over time. Blonitas 2mg Tab side effects are less as compared to first-generation antipsychotics.

Directions for Use
- Take Blonitas 2mg Tab as prescribed by your doctor. The doctor will fix a dose of Blonitas 2mg Tab after considering factors like your age, health conditions, medical history and severity of your ailment.
- Do not alter the dose of Blonitas 2mg Tab without consulting your doctor.
- Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water.
- Do not crush or break Blonitas 2mg Tab.
- Do not mix Blonitas 2mg Tab with food or liquids like soups or juices.

Interactions with other medicines
- Blonitas 2mg Tab interacts with other medicines like
- Taking Blonitas 2mg Tab with benzodiazepines increases the intensity of side effects like tremors.
- Blonanserin decreases the therapeutic effect of amantadine and apomorphine in providing relief from Parkinson's symptoms.
- Combining amoxicillin and ampicillin with Blonitas 2mg Tab reduces the excretion rate of blonanserin. This could cause a higher serum level.
- Bonitas 2mg Tab may reduce the stimulatory effect of amphetamine.
- Consuming aripiprazole with Blonitas 2mg Tab enhances the central nervous system(CNS depressant) actions of aripiprazole.
- Taking atazanavir with Blonitas 2mg Tab reduces the metabolism of blonanserin.
