Medical Description
Betnovate-N Cream is a medication used to treat various skin conditions, including redness, inflammation, itching, and rashes. It is often prescribed for conditions like dermatitis, psoriasis, and eczema. These conditions can cause the skin to become dry, flaky, or swollen, and Betnovate-N helps provide relief from these uncomfortable symptoms.
This cream contains two main ingredients: betamethasone and neomycin. Betamethasone is a steroid that helps reduce inflammation, swelling, and redness in the skin. Neomycin is an antibiotic that works by fighting bacterial infections on the skin. Together, these ingredients help soothe irritated skin while preventing or treating infection.
Betnovate-N Cream should be used exactly as directed by your doctor or pharmacist. It is for external use only. Apply a thin layer to clean, dry skin and gently massage it in until fully absorbed. Use just enough cream to cover the affected area. Always wash your hands before and after applying the cream, unless you are treating a specific area of your hands.
While using Betnovate-N Cream, protect the treated skin from direct sunlight. Try to avoid applying other skin products in the same area unless your doctor has specifically instructed you to do so. Do not cover the treated skin with tight bandages or dressings unless directed to do so.
Other creams, such as Dipnate N contain the same active ingredients and may be used to treat similar skin problems. However, you should only use the product prescribed specifically for you. If your symptoms do not improve or if you experience any irritation or an unusual reaction, consult your doctor for further advice.
