Asthamon 5 MG Description

Asthamon Tablet is an anti-allergic medicine used for the treatment of asthma and other allergic conditions such as a runny or blocked nose, watery eyes, itching, etc. It contains montelukast as its

main component. This medicine works by inhibiting the action of natural chemical substance leukotrienes responsible for allergic conditions. By blocking leukotrienes, Montelukast improves asthma symptoms, helps control asthma and improves seasonal allergy symptoms. Asthamon Tablet should be taken as directed by the doctor and in doses and duration as prescribed. Inform your doctor if you are pregnant, planning a pregnancy or breastfeeding and about all the medicines and supplements you take and all the conditions or diseases you suffer from, before starting this medicine.

Asthamon Tablet is used for the treatment of asthma, which is inadequately controlled by other inhaled medications and exercise-induced asthma.
It is also used for relieving symptoms of allergic rhinitis (runny nose, sneezing, chest congestion, itching, watery eyes and stuffy nose).

Asthamon Tablet should be taken as directed by your doctor.
Swallow it as a whole with a glass of water, do not cut, break or chew the medicine.
It can be taken with or without food.
It would be best if you took it at a fixed time for optimal results.
You should not consume it more than that prescribed by your doctor.

Interactions with other medicines

Asthamonmg may be administered routinely with other medications used for the management and chronic treatment of asthma.
Medicines used for the treatment of seizures or fits such as phenytoin and medicine used in the treatment of tuberculosis such as rifampicin should be used cautiously.
Inform your doctor about all other medicines, herbal preparations and supplements you are taking before starting with Asthamon Tablet.
