Amlo Plus At Strip Of 10 Tablets Description
Amlo Plus is a medication used to treat high blood pressure (hypertension). It includes a combination of two medicine which effectively controls hypertensive crisis and prevent the chances of stroke
and heart attack. Common side effects of this medication include drowsiness, headache, oedema, palpitation, tiredness and slow heart rate. How Does It Work?
Amlo Plus is a medication which includes amlodipine and atenolol. Amlodipine is a calcium channel blocker which works by inhibiting the influx of calcium ions, which results in vasodilation and reduces the workload of the heart. Atenolol is a beta-blocker which works by inhibiting the beta receptors and thus preventing the vasoconstriction of the blood vessels and reducing the blood pressure....

- Take the medication in the dose and for the duration advised by your doctor
- Do not chew, crush or break the tablet in half
- Swallow the tablet as a whole with a glass of water
- Take it with or without food

Interactions with other medicines
- Avoid using this medication with cardiac glycoside or anti-arrhythmic drugs as it can result in severe side effects
- Avoid using this medication with adrenaline which can result in the counteractive action of beta-blocker Hypoglycemia can be seen if you use this medication with insulin or oral antidiabetic medication...
- Concomitant use of CYP34A inhibitors with amlodipine increases the amlodipine exposure, which increases the risk of hypotension
- Concomitant use of CYP3A4 inducers may lead to fluctuation in plasma concentration of amlodipine
- Co-administration of tacrolimus with amlodipine may increase its tacrolimus blood levels
