Amisant 100mg Tablet
Amisant 100 MG Description
Amisant is a prescription medicine used to treat schizophrenia, a mental condition characterised by impairment in thought, perception, emotional reactivity and social relationships. Amisant contains
Amisulpride's active component, which belongs to the antipsychotic medication class. Schizophrenia can make you feel, see, or hear things that aren't there, have unusual and frightening ideas, alter your behaviour, and make you feel alone. People who are experiencing these symptoms may feel tense, nervous, or depressed. Amisulpride works by calming down agitated thoughts, feelings, and actions. It functions by blocking certain dopamine receptors in the brain responsible for positive (thought disorder, disorganised speech and behaviour) and negative symptoms (emotionless, low motivation, low feeling of happiness) of schizophrenia and relieves the patient of its symptoms and brings about mental balance. You should avoid stopping this tablet suddenly, even if you feel okay, because your initial symptoms are very likely to return. The safety and effectiveness of Amisant have not been established and is therefore not recommended in children. It is advisable to take your medicines before meals. Contact your doctor immediately if you have yellowing of the skin, abdominal pain, nausea and vomiting. You may experience certain non-harming side effects such as difficulty sleeping, irregular menstrual cycles, impotence, muscle spasm, drowsiness, confusion and fast heartbeat.
