Aldigesic SP tablet is a combination medicine used for short-term relief of acute pain, swelling and inflammation. It contains aceclofenac, paracetamol, and serratiopeptidase.
Aceclofenac is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory medicine, or NSAID. Paracetamol relieves pain and reduces fever. Serratiopeptidase is an enzyme that helps reduce swelling. Together, these may be prescribed for painful muscle and joint conditions, including muscle spasm, and pain and swelling after a procedure.
Take it exactly as prescribed, at the lowest dose that controls your pain and for the shortest time needed.NSAIDs carry greater risks with higher doses and longer use, so do not continue this medicine on your own.
The most common side effects are nausea, indigestion, stomach pain, dizziness and bowel upset. Taking it with or just after food may help reduce stomach discomfort. Tell your doctor if these persist.
Tell your doctor before starting if you have had a stomach ulcer or bleeding, asthma, heart disease, high blood pressure, kidney or liver problems, or a reaction to aspirin or another anti-inflammatory medicine, and if you are pregnant, planning a pregnancy, or breastfeeding.
