Medical Description

Zymox P Eye Drops is a combination medicine containing Prednisolone which is a steroid and Moxifloxacin which is an antibiotic medicine. It is used for the treatment of steroid-responsive conditions of the eye where there are also chances of bacterial infection of the eye. It works by reducing swelling, itching and redness of the eyes. It also works by stopping the growth of bacteria. Pain or irritation in the eye and temporary blurring of vision are its common side effects.

Uses

For the treatment of steroid-responsive conditions of the eye where there are also chances of bacterial infection of the eye.

Contraindications

  • If you are allergic to Prednisolone, Moxifloxacin or any of the other ingredients of Zymox P Eye Drops .
  • If you have increase pressure of the eye.
  • If you have a herpes infection of the eye.

Side effects

  • Pain or irritation in the eye
  • Temporary blurring of vision

Pregnancy

Zymox P Eye Drops is to be used locally as s only and there are fewer chances of absorption in blood Still this medicine should be used under medical supervision by a pregnant woman.

Directions for Use

  • Use Zymox P Eye Drops as instructed by your doctor.
  • Follow directions carefully & do not miss doses.
  • Wash your hands thoroughly before and after applying.
  • Close your eyes for 2-3 minutes and do not blink or squeeze.
  • Avoid touching your eyes with the dropper and it must be kept clean.
  • Wipe any excess liquid from your face with a tissue.
  • Use the exact number of drops recommended.

Storage and disposal

  • Store Zymox P Eye Drops at a temperature below 25 °C in a cool and dry place.
  • Keep it out of the reach of children and pets.

Dosage

Overdose

As this Zymox P Eye Drops is meant for external use, cases of overdose are unlikely. However, upon accidental ingestion contact your doctor immediately or visit the nearest hospital. If you have instilled extra drops of it wash your eyes thoroughly with water.

Missed a Dose

If you have missed the instillation of Zymox P Eye Drops , instill it as soon as possible. Do not instill more drops just to compensate for the missed dose.
