Zolpil 10 mg tablet is a sleeping pill. It is used to treat insomnia ( difficulty falling asleep and maintaining sleep). This medicine helps the affected person fall asleep within an hour and reduces
night awakenings. It is available on prescription only. The active ingredient in Zolpil 10 mg is zolpidem. The directions of use of Zolpil 10 mg tablets should be strictly followed. It should not be abruptly stopped unless advised by a doctor. It has habit-forming potential and may cause physical dependence and withdrawal symptoms on stopping. Side effects of Zolpil 10 mg tablets include dry mouth, headache, dizziness, lightheadedness, gastritis, altered appetite, unsteady walking etc. This medicine can also cause a bitter or metallic taste in the mouth.
