Uses of Vivo Tablet

Vivo Tablet is used to treat bacterial infections of throat, nose, airway tract, lungs and urinary tract caused by various organisms.

Contraindications of Vivo Tablet

If you are allergic to Lomefloxacin or any other component of Vivo Tablet.

Talk to your doctor if
  • You experience increased heartbeat, fits after taking Vivo Tablet.
  • You experience nerve damage characterized by weakness, numbness and pain, usually in your hands and feet after taking this medicine.
  • You experience or have experienced phototoxicity reaction such as a sensation of skin burning, redness, swelling, blisters, rash, itching after taking this medicine.
  • You experience pain, redness or swelling after taking this medicine.
  • You have any other medical condition such as liver, kidney or heart disease.
  • Vivo Tablet should not be used for children under 18 years of age.

Mode of Action of Vivo Tablet

How Does It Work?

Vivo Tablet contains Lomefloxacin. It works by inhibiting the multiplication of the bacteria, thereby stopping the growth.

Directions for Use of Vivo Tablet

  • Vivo Tablet should be taken as directed by your doctor. Swallow it whole with a glass of water.
  • Take it at a fixed time for optimal results. Do not consume it more than that prescribed by your doctor.

Interactions of Vivo Tablet

Interactions with other medicines

  • When Vivo Tablet is co-administered with medicine used to treat asthma like theophylline may alter the level of theophylline.
  • Acid lowering medicine like antacids, sucralfate, cimetidine decreases the effect of Vivo Tablet when administered concomitantly.
  • Vivo Tablet increases the effect of immunosuppressive medications such as cyclosporine when administered concomitantly.
  • Effect of Vivo Tablet is increased when uric acid-lowering medicine such as probenecid is administered concomitantly.
  • Vivo Tablet increases the effect of blood-thinning medicine such as warfarin when administered concomitantly.
  • Discuss with your doctor about any other medicine, herbal preparations and supplements you are taking currently to avoid interactions.

  • Store at a temperature below 30°C in a cool and dry place.
  • Keep it out of the reach of children and pets.
