Triptaz 10 MG Tablet is a tricyclic antidepressant. It is used to treat symptoms of depression. It has been shown to have sedative effects. The main ingredient is amitriptyline. It increases the amounts of certain substances in the brain required to maintain mental balance. Irrespective of age, before taking an antidepressant, it is essential to discuss the risks and benefits versus no treatment of the condition with your physician. Contraindications

Allergic to amitriptyline or other ingredients used in the product. History of recent heart attacks. Use of monoamine oxidase inhibitors in the last 14 days, such as isocarboxazid, linezolid, methylene blue injection, phenelzine, rasagiline, selegiline, or tranylcypromine. SSRI antidepressant use in the last five weeks. Use of fluoxetine (Prozac, Sarafem) in the last five weeks.
