Tenoric 50 tablet is an anti-hypertensive medicine used for the treatment of high blood pressure when a single medicine is not able to control the blood pressure sufficiently. It has a combination of atenolol and chlorthalidone as its active ingredients. It may also be used to reduce the risk of other complications of the heart and blood vessels. Tenoric 50 works by the combined action of its two components. High blood pressure is a critical health condition and it is very important to take your blood pressure-lowering medicines on time along with proper diet, exercise and certain lifestyle modifications. - Your blood pressure is low or you have dehydration.
- You have kidney disease or you are on a salt-restricted diet.
- You have a condition of electrolyte imbalance. Because the use of Tenoric 50 tablet may cause low levels of electrolytes in the body. Therefore, it is advisable to monitor electrolytes periodically.
- You have any other pre-existing medical conditions such as kidney or liver disorders, breathing problems or asthma, overactive thyroid gland, etc.
- You have diabetes as it may cause low blood sugar levels and also change the body’s response to low blood sugar. You may not experience warning signs of low blood sugar, such as an increase in heart rate, sweating, hunger pangs and headache.
- You have any type of heart-related condition such as chest pain, irregular heartbeats, etc.
- You have poor blood circulation.
- You experience rapid heartbeats or impaired vision.
- Do not start, alter or stop this medicine on your own.

- Tenoric 50 tablet should be taken as directed by your doctor.
- Try to take this medicine at the same time every day for effective blood pressure control.
- Do not consume more than what is prescribed by your doctor.

How Does It Work?
- Tenoric 50 tablet works by the combined action of atenolol and chlorthalidone. Atenolol is a beta-blocker. It works by slowing the heart rate and relaxing the blood vessels and thereby reducing the blood pressure.
- Chlorthalidone acts by increasing the loss of water and salt from the body, thus resulting in increased production of urine, thereby lowering the blood pressure.
