- According to CDSCO, this medicine can be used in the treatment of managing moderate to severe pain in hospital setting and in adults over 18 years of age.

- Interaction with other medicines
- Do not take the Tapal ER capsule with other opioid pain medications, as they can cause serious adverse effects.
- Do not take a Tapal ER tablet with antidepressants like linezolid, naltrexone, methylene blue, etc. They can cause increased side effects like drowsiness, dizziness, tremors, lethargy, vomitings, etc.
- Do not take it with antihistamines like cetirizine, diphenhydramine, as they can increase the effects of drowsiness.

- Do not drink alcohol with this medicine. Drinking alcohol while taking Tapal will increase the risk of experiencing serious and life-threatening side effects.
