Mode of Action of Tacrograf 2 MG
How Does It Work?
Tacrolimus of the Tacrograf capsules suppresses the immune system in the following ways. It inhibits the formation of lymphokine genes and cytotoxic lymphocytes, responsible for graft rejection. In addition, it also interferes with the immunogenic pathway and suppresses T-cell activation and B-cell proliferation....
Directions for Use of Tacrograf 2 MG
- Please take Tacrograf 2 mg capsules as directed by your doctor. The capsules are to be swallowed whole with a glass of water.
Interactions of Tacrograf 2 MG
Interactions with other medicines
- Ciclosporin may potentiate the effect of tacrolimus whole blood concentrations in the body
- Rifampicin and phenytoin may decrease the levels of tacrolimus in blood and increases the risk of transplant rejection
- Lansoprazole, when co-administered with tacrolimus, may increase the blood levels of tacrolimus and may increase the risk of neurotoxicity
- Corticosteroids reduce tacrolimus blood levels and increase the risk of graft rejection
Interactions with food items
- Grapefruit and its juice have been shown to raise tacrolimus levels in the blood
