Description
Sunapro Tablet is a combination medicine containing Sumatriptan and Naproxen. It is used in the treatment of headache associated with migraine with or without warning signs. Sumatriptan works by narr
owing the blood vessels in the brain which helps in getting relief from migraine headache. Naproxen works by reducing pain and swelling by decreasing the synthesis of a natural substance called prostaglandin, which is responsible for swelling and pain. Nausea, dizziness, sleepiness, chest pain, neck/jaw/throat pain or tightness, indigestion are some of the side effects of Sunapro Tablet.

Uses
It is used in the treatment of a headache associated with migraine with or without warning signs.
Contraindications
- If you are allergic to sumatriptan, naproxen or any other ingredients of this medicine.
- If you have decreased blood supply to the heart, brain or other parts of the body.
- If you have severe liver disease.
- If you have high blood pressure which is not under control.
- If you have a migraine headache associated with weakness on one side of the body.
- If you have migraine headache pain present over the backside of the head.

Breast Feeding

Driving

This medicine can cause dizziness, sleepiness, spinning sensation. Avoid driving if you have dizziness, sleepiness, spinning sensation after taking this medicine.
Alcohol

Can I consume alcohol with Sunapro Tablet?
A:
Drinking alcohol while on this medicine causes increased chances of bleeding from the stomach, sleepiness, dizziness, etc. or can make a migraine headache worse or can cause another type of headache, therefore alcohol drinking should be avoided while taking this medicine.
Other General Warnings
Talk to your doctor if
- You have high blood pressure, diabetes, high blood cholesterol level, dehydration, heart disease or a family history of heart disease.
- You are obese, a smoker.
- You are a female whose menstruation is stopped normally or due to the removal of the uterus.
- You are a male over 40 years of age.
- You have chest pain, jaw or neck tightness, giddiness, difficulty in breathing, slurring of speech, headache, abdominal pain, blood in stool, vision problem after taking this medicine.
- You have swelling over your body after taking this medicine.
- You have asthma, kidney disease or liver diseases.
- You have nausea, tiredness, skin rash, itching or fever after taking this medicine.
- You have a history of epilepsy, a brain disorder characterised by recurrent seizure.
- You have indigestion, stomach pain, blood in vomit or stool after taking this medicine.

How Does It Work?
- Sumatriptan works by narrowing some blood vessels in the brain which helps in relief of migraine headache.
- Naproxen works by reducing pain and swelling by decreasing the synthesis of a natural substance called prostaglandin, which is responsible for swelling and pain.

Interactions with other medicines
- Some medicines can affect the way Sunapro Tablet works or this medicine itself can reduce the effectiveness of other medicines taken at the same time.
- Tell your doctor about all the medicines, supplements or herbals you are currently taking or might take to avoid any possible interactions.
- Especially, if you are taking medicines for brain diseases, heart disease or any anticancer medicines.
Storage and disposal
- Store it at 15°C to 30°C in a cool and dry place.
- Keep it out of the reach of children and pets.
Dosage
Overdose
Symptoms of an overdose include dizziness, sleepiness, stomach pain, indigestion, nausea, increase in headache, etc. If you have taken too much of this medicine then contact your doctor or reach out to the nearest hospital immediately....
Missed a Dose
If you have missed taking any dose of this medicine, then take it as soon as you remember. If it's already time for the next dose then skip the missed dose and follow your regular dosing schedule.
