Medical Description

Stilnoct 6.25mg Tab is a prescription medicine used to treat insomnia, a sleep disorder. It is a sedative that comes in the category of a sedative-hypnotics class of medicines. Insomnia is a condition causing difficulty in falling asleep or remaining asleep. It is usually associated with numerous other anxiety, stress, and breathing problems. It can be chronic (long-term) or acute (short-term). Stilnoct Tab contains zolpidem as its active ingredient. It is ideal for taking a Stilnoct Tab right before bedtime, preferably at same time, every day. Since this medicine is habit-forming, follow your doctor’s instructions for dosage and duration. Using Stilnoct Tab with other medicines that make you drowsy can worsen this effect. Many medicines can make zolpidem less effective or increase its side effects on interaction. All these mentioned medicines can interact and increase the sedating(drowsy) effects of the medicine.

Interactions with food items

  • You can continue with the usual diet as food doesn’t influence the effect of Stilnoct Tab. However, this medicine should not be taken with or immediately after food, as food affects its absorption and delays the onset of sleep. Inform your doctor about any supplements or herbal drinks you are currently taking before using Stilnoct Tab.
