Interactions
Interactions with other medicines
- Tell your doctor and pharmacist about any prescription and non-prescription medications, vitamins and nutritional supplements, you are consuming or plan to take as there is a chance of drug interaction. Using Stilnoct Tab with other medicines that make you drowsy can worsen this effect. Many medicines can make zolpidem less effective or increase its side effects on interaction. This includes antihistamines such as chlorpheniramine or promethazine, medicines taken for depression, such as amitriptyline, nortriptyline, imipramine, opioids such as codeine, oxycodone, morphine, anti-anxiety medicines such as diazepam. All these mentioned medicines can interact and increase the sedating(drowsy) effects of the medicine.
Interactions with food items
- You can continue with the usual diet as food doesn’t influence the effect of Stilnoct Tab. However, this medicine should not be taken with or immediately after food, as food affects its absorption and delays the onset of sleep. Inform your doctor about any supplements or herbal drinks you are currently taking before using Stilnoct Tab.
