Soltus Od 300 mg tablets belong to the class of atypical antipsychotic. It is primarily used to treat schizophrenia. It has also been used to control postoperative nausea and vomiting. Schizophrenia
is a condition characterised by symptoms like delirium, hallucinations, and abnormal thinking process. Soltus Od 300 mg tablet contains amisulpride as its active ingredient. Soltus Od 300 mg tablets should be taken at a dose and for a duration as prescribed by your doctor. It should be taken at a particular time of the day to maintain the levels of chemical substances ( neurotransmitters) in the brain. However, if you have missed a dose, you should take it as soon as you remember it. You should avoid skipping a dose. You should not stop taking the medicine abruptly as it can lead to withdrawal symptoms like nausea, vomiting, sleeplessness, and fatigue. Some of the most common side effects of the medicine are dryness of the mouth, constipation, nausea, vomiting, drowsiness, and low blood pressure. - If you have had allergic reactions to its use in the past
- If you have are pregnant or planning to get pregnant
- If you are below 15 years of age
- If you are breastfeeding females as it decreases the secretion of breastmilk
- If you have pre-existing kidney diseases, as the medicine is excreted out through the kidney
- If you have liver disease, dose modifications should be done
- If you have a condition called pheochromocytoma (tumour of the adrenal gland)
- If you have heart disease, it can increase the chances of stroke

- Insulin can cause hypoglycemia if used with Soltus Od 300 mg Tablet.
- Antacids (Cimetidine, omeprazole) slow down Soltus Od 300 mg tablet absorption.
- This medication prolongs the action of anti-depolarising muscle relaxants.
- Anticoagulants (warfarin) increase the bleeding time if taken with Soltus Od 300 mg tablet.
- Antidepressants (fluoxetine) cause drowsiness and sedation if used with Soltus Od 300 mg tablet.
- Antipsychotics (Haloperidol) can cause dizziness.
- Sedatives, hypnotics (benzodiazepines, barbiturates) can cause extreme drowsiness and a decreased respiratory rate.
- Alcohol can cause sleepiness and palpitations.
- Monoamine oxidase inhibitors (Selegiline) can cause symptoms like palpitations, flushing, convulsions, and coma.
