Medical Description

Silodal D8 capsule is used to manage benign prostatic hypertrophy (BPH, also called benign prostatic hyperplasia). It is a common condition in older men with an enlargement of the prostate gland. The prostate gland is a part of the male reproductive system and is located below the bladder.

Common symptoms of benign prostatic hypertrophy include incomplete emptying of the bladder, trouble passing urine, frequent need to pass urine and a weak urine flow. Silodal D8 capsule contains a combination of silodosin and dutasteride as its main components. It works by relaxing the bladder muscles and shrinking the enlarged prostate, which helps to relieve the symptoms of benign prostatic hypertrophy.

This medicine is not meant to be used to treat prostate cancer. Take Silodal D8 capsule in the exact dose and duration as prescribed. Do not stop taking this medicine on your own. Before starting treatment with this medicine, inform the doctor about your detailed medical history.

Quick Tips of SILODAL D 8MG STRIP OF 10 CAPSULES

Silodal D8 capsule is used for the treatment of Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia (BPH). It is a common condition in older men where there is an enlargement of the prostate gland.
This medicine should not be used for treating any other condition unless specified by the doctor.
Take this medicine in the exact dose and duration as recommended. Do not take more than the prescribed dose.
Also, inform your doctor about all other medicines that you take, your complete medical history and the dietary supplements you are taking.
Urimax D tablet is not recommended for use in children below 18 years of age. This medicine is not meant to be used for the treatment of prostate cancer.
Inform your eye doctor that you are takinSilodal D8 capsule if you are going to have eye surgery for glaucoma or a cataract.
If you experience dizziness or sleepiness after taking Silodal D8 capsule, it is recommended to avoid driving, operating heavy machinery or performing any such tasks that require mental alertness.

Overdose

If you have taken too much of Silodal D8 capsule, contact your doctor or reach out to the nearest hospital immediately.

Missed a Dose

If you forget a dose of Silodal D8 capsule, take it as soon as you remember it.
However, if it is nearly time for the next dose, skip the missed dose.
Do not take a double dose to make up for a forgotten dose.

How Does It Work?

Silodal D8 capsule contains a combination of silodosin and dutasteride as active ingredients.
Silodosin works by relaxing the muscles in the prostate, bladder, and urethra (the tube that carries urine outside the body).
Dutasteride helps in reducing the size of the enlarged prostate.
Together, this allows the proper flow of urine and helps to relieve the symptoms of benign prostatic hypertrophy.
