Uses
- As per CDSCO, Sedeven Injection is used for the treatment of:
- Preoperative sedation
- Induction of general anaesthesia
Contraindications
- If you are allergic to Midazolam
- If you have narrow-angle glaucoma (increased pressure in the eye)
- If you have low blood pressure or shock-like condition
- If you are an older adult over 60 years of age
- If you are pregnant
- If you are breastfeeding
- If you have severe kidney or liver disease
- If you have a history of drug abuse

Directions for Use
- Sedeven Injection should be administered strictly by a doctor or healthcare professional.
- Sedeven Injection can be administered through intravenous and intramuscular routes.
- The medical practitioner administering the Injection should thoroughly wash their hands before giving the Injection.
- Shake the vial before using it.
- Before Injection, clean the Injection site with alcohol or disinfectant.
- Sedeven Injection should not be used unless prescribed by a doctor.

How Does It Work?
Interactions
Interactions with other medicines
- Interaction of Sedeven Injection with pain killers, such as morphine, oxycodone, fentanyl, hydrocodone, tramadol, and codeine, may lead to extreme sedation and drowsiness.
- Sedeven Injection should not be used concomitantly with monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOIs) like isocarboxazid, linezolid, methylene blue, selegiline, rasagiline, etc. as they can cause serious side effects like decreased breathing, low heart rate, etc.
- Interaction with ketoconazole, fluconazole, and itraconazole increase the plasma concentrations of Sedeven Injection.
- Interaction with other benzodiazepines potentiates the anaesthetic effects of Sedeven Injection.
