Precautions and Warnings

Pregnancy

Pregnancy

Tell your doctor if you are pregnant or planning pregnancy. Use this combination during pregnancy only when the expected benefit justifies potential risk.

Breast Feeding

Breast Feeding

Tell your doctor if you are breastfeeding. Your doctor will decide whether the combination is suitable and how to monitor the infant.

Driving

Driving

Dizziness, blurred vision, or tremor can make driving unsafe. Avoid driving until you know how the nebulized treatment affects you.

Alcohol

Alcohol

Alcohol may worsen dizziness and can make breathing symptoms harder to judge. Avoid it if you feel unwell.

Directions for Use

For inhalation through a nebulizer only. Wash your hands, open the transpule, empty the entire contents into the nebulizer chamber, and inhale through the mouthpiece or a well-fitting mask as taught. Do not swallow or inject it, avoid mist entering the eyes, and discard the opened unit after use.

Storage and disposal

Keep the respules in their original foil pack away from direct light and heat. Do not use a cloudy or damaged unit, keep unused units out of the reach of children, and discard opened units after use.

Quick Tips

  • Use the nebulizer technique shown by your healthcare professional and clean the equipment after use.
  • Keep nebulizer mist out of the eyes, especially if you have glaucoma.
  • Seek urgent help for severe breathlessness, chest pain, sudden eye pain, or poor response to the rescue plan.

Dosage

Overdose

Using too much may cause severe tremor, fast or irregular heartbeat, chest discomfort, low potassium, or worsening breathing. If you think you have taken too much of this medicine, contact your doctor immediately or visit the nearest hospital.

Missed a Dose

If you miss a treatment, use it when you remember unless it is nearly time for the next one. If it is time for your next treatment, skip the missed dose and continue with your regular schedule. Do not take a double dose of medicine to compensate for the missed one.

How does this medicine work?

Levosalbutamol relaxes airway muscles, while ipratropium reduces nerve signals that tighten the airways and increase mucus. Together they improve airflow.

Interactions

Interactions with other medicines

Some medicines can affect the way this combination works or increase heart and potassium effects. Tell your doctor about all medicines, supplements, and herbal products you use. In particular, mention beta blockers, other inhaled bronchodilators, water tablets, steroids, antidepressants, or heart medicines.

Interactions with food items

Food and drink do not affect nebulized treatment. Avoid smoke and other airway irritants, and maintain fluids unless your doctor has restricted them.
