Description
Zerostat VT Spacer is a transparent, non-static chamber used with a Cipla inhaler. It briefly holds the released medicine before inhalation and may help the medicine reach the lungs with less settling in the mouth or throat.
How to Use
Using the spacer
- Firmly push the two halves together and rotate them to assemble the spacer.
- Remove the cap from the inhaler mouthpiece and shake the inhaler well.
- Insert the inhaler firmly into the opposite end of the spacer.
- Press down on the canister to release a dose into the spacer.
- Breathe out fully through your mouth.
- Remove the spacer mouthpiece cap. Close your lips firmly around the mouthpiece without biting it, then breathe in slowly and deeply through your mouth.
- Remove the spacer and hold your breath for about 10 seconds, or as long as comfortable. Breathe out normally.
- If a second dose is needed, wait for a minute and repeat the steps.
Cleaning the spacer
- Gently rotate and pull apart the two halves.
- Rinse both halves with clean water and shake off excess water.
- Wipe dry with a soft cloth or leave to air dry.
