Rotahaler Inhaler Device

Rotahaler is a dry-powder inhalation device for use with compatible Cipla Rotacaps. It releases the medicine when you breathe in and may support delivery of prescribed inhaled medicine to the lungs. Its compact, lightweight design may make it convenient to carry and use.

Hold the Rotahaler vertically and position its two halves so the fin is not directly below the Rotacap hole. Remove a Rotacap from its bottle and insert it with the transparent end facing downwards. Hold the mouthpiece firmly and rotate the base.

Breathe out fully. Place the mouthpiece between your teeth, close your lips tightly around it, tilt your head slightly backwards, and breathe in rapidly and deeply through your mouth. Hold your breath for 10 seconds, or as long as comfortable, then breathe out normally. If powder remains, repeat the inhalation step. Open the Rotahaler and dispose of the empty capsule.

To clean it, separate the two halves, discard the empty Rotacap shell, rinse both halves in clean running water, shake off excess water, and leave them to air-dry.

• Keep the Rotacap bottle tightly closed and insert a Rotacap just before use.
• Replace the Rotahaler after up to 6 months of daily use.
