S Citadep Forte Tablet Description

S Citadep Forte tablet is a prescription medication. Managing the symptoms of anxiety disorder, mood disorders, and comorbid depression are the most common uses of S Citadep Forte tablets. It is a co

mbination of two active components: Clonazepam and Escitalopram. Clonazepam is a tranquilliser (medicines that reduce anxiety and fear). Escitalopram is an antidepressant and helps stabilise mood. Mood disorders such as anxiety and depression affect how one feels and drastically reduce the quality of life. The mode of action of S Citadep Forte tablets is by reducing the excess activity of nerves in the brain and stabilising mood. The medicine also induces a calming effect and sedation. Drowsiness, tiredness, diarrhoea, stomach issues and slow heart rate are some side effects of S Citadep Forte tablets. Follow your doctor's directions for using S Citadep Forte Tablet carefully. Uses of S Citadep Forte Tablet

As per CDSCO, the S Citadep Forte tablet is used for the following conditions -
In the management of symptoms of comorbid depression (depression associated with other disorders)
In the management of symptoms of anxiety disorder, panic disorder, and other mood disorders

Contraindications of S Citadep Forte Tablet

If you have any allergic reaction to the components of S Citadep Forte tablets.
If you have a history of alcohol addiction or drug/substance abuse, mental health disorder, depression, etc.
If you are using other anti-anxiety or sedatives, they can interfere with S Citadep Forte tablets and cause adverse reactions.
If you have acute-angle glaucoma (high fluid pressure inside the eye), S Citadep Forte tablets worsen the condition.
If you have liver disease.
If you have a seizure disorder and are on antiepileptic (anti-seizure) medication.
