Medical Description

Rabemac-DSR capsule is an anti-reflux medicine used to treat gastrointestinal reflux disease (GERD). This medicine is a combination of two active ingredients, rabeprazole and domperidone.

GERD or gastrointestinal reflux disease, is a condition in which acid from the stomach comes back up to the food pipe and causes heartburn, belching, nausea and chest pain. Rabemac-DSR works by decreasing the amount of acid produced in the stomach and improves mortality in the gut. Thus, it helps in neutralising the acid and helps in relieving stomach discomfort.

Some other capsules containing rabeprazole and domperidone are Razo D capsuleRabekind DSR capsuleRabesec DSR capsule, and Rabium DSR capsule. Rabemac-DSR capsule should be taken as directed by the doctor and in doses and duration as prescribed. It should preferably be taken at least 30 mins before meals. Do not miss any dose or take it more often than your doctor prescribes.

Headache, diarrhoea and stomach pain are a few side effects that you may experience after taking Rabemac-DSR capsules. Mostly these side effects are temporary but contact your doctor immediately if you feel the side effects persist or your condition worsens.

Inform your doctor if you are pregnant, planning a pregnancy or breastfeeding and about all the medicines and supplements you take and all the conditions or diseases you suffer from before starting Rabemac-DSR capsule.
