Medical Description

Nicip Plus tablet is a pain- and fever-reducing medicine. It is used to treat painful conditions such as headache, fever, period pain, and dental, joint, and ear pain. The tablet contains a combination of nimesulide and paracetamol as active substances. It works by preventing the action of these pain and fever-causing chemicals.

Take this medicine at the exact dose and duration your doctor recommends. Swallow it as a whole with a glass of water. Do not take more than the prescribed dose. This medicine for more than 10 days is not recommended unless prescribed by your doctor. Taking more than the daily dose of this medicine may cause severe liver damage or allergic reactions like swelling of the face, mouth and throat, difficulty in breathing, itching or rashes.

Other medicines containing nimesulide and paracetamol are Nimucet Gold tablet, Nobel Plus tablet, Nodard Plus tablet, Sumo tablet, and Somee tablet.

Do not take this medicine if you are allergic to its components. Before taking Nicip Plus tablet, inform your doctor if you are pregnant, planning on becoming pregnant or breastfeeding and about your complete medical history. Also, inform the doctor about all other medicines and supplements you take. This medicine is not recommended for children below 12 years of age.

Contraindications of NICIP PLUS STRIP OF 10 TABLETS

If you are allergic to paracetamol, nimesulide, other pain-relieving medicine or other ingredients Nicip Plus tablet.
If you have a history of liver damage induced by anti-inflammatory medicines like (Nimesulide).
If you have or had a history of stomach bleeding, ulcer and inflammation of the stomach lining.
If you have problems related to blood clotting and bleeding disorders.
If you have impaired liver or kidney function or severe heart failure problems.
If you consume alcohol too often or you have an addiction or substance use disorder.
If you are suffering from symptoms of flu-like fever, chills, shivering.
If you are pregnant or are breastfeeding.

Can I take Nicip Plus tablet during pregnancy?

Nicip Plus tablet should not be used during pregnancy especially in third trimester. Also, do not take this medicine if you are trying to conceive or taking any fertility treatment. This medicine can affect your fertility.

Breast Feeding

Can I take Nicip Plus tablet while breastfeeding?

It is advised not to use Nicip Plus tablet if you are breastfeeding. Consult your doctor before taking any medicines if you are a nursing mother.

Driving

Can I drive if I have consumed Nicip Plus tablet?

You may experience drowsiness and sleepiness after taking Nicip Plus tablet. Thus, it is advised not to drive if you experience such symptoms.

Alcohol

Can I consume alcohol with Nicip Plus tablet?

It is advisable to avoid the consumption of alcohol during the treatment. Although there is no known interaction between alcohol and Nicip Plus, it is essential to consult your physician if you have a habit of regular drinking. Consuming alcohol while taking pain killers is known to increase the risk of bleeding, ulcer and perforation in the stomach and intestine (upper gastrointestinal tract).

Interactions with other medicines

To avoid any interaction, tell your doctor about all the medicines, supplements, or herbals you are taking or might take.
Taking Nicip Plus with steroids can increase the risk of getting stomach bleeding and ulcers.
This medicine may interfere with the action of blood thinners like warfarin and increase the risk of bleeding.
Concomitant use of this medicine, along with vomiting medicines like domperidone and metoclopramide, is not recommended.
