Contraindications
- If you are allergic to any of the ingredients of Neosporin H ear drops.
- If you have a ruptured eardrum.
- If you are suffering from any untreated Herpes simplex, Herpes zoster and fungal infections.
- It should not be used in large quantities or on large areas for prolonged periods of time.
- Neosporin H ear drops are not recommended for use in children below the age of 2 years.

- You develop any allergic reactions after using Neosporin H ear drops.
- You have any problems with your ears like hearing problems.
- You experience any visual problems while on treatment.
- You do not notice any improvement in your condition while using Neosporin H ear drops.
- You experience stomach cramps or prolonged or significant diarrhoea, immediately contact your doctor.
- Neosporin H ear drops should not be used in large quantities or on large areas for prolonged periods of time.
- It would be best if you do not use this medicine for any condition other than prescribed by your doctor.
- It not recommended for use in children below the age of 2 years.
- In case your eyes come in contact with this medicine, rinse your eyes with clean water immediately.
Directions for Use
- Use Neosporin H ear drops as directed by your doctor.
- Follow all the directions carefully and do not miss any doses.
- Read the instructions on the label before usage.
- Shake well before use.
- Wash your hands thoroughly before and after instilling Neosporin H ear drops.
- Use the exact number of drops recommended.
- Tilt the head towards one side and place drops in the ear canal.
- Keep head tilted for 2-3 minutes to let the drops soak in the ear.
- Repeat for the other ear if required after 5-10 minutes.
- Avoid touching the tip of the container directly to the infected area.

- Keep it out of the reach of children and pets.

How Does It Work?
- Neosporin H ear drops work by the combined action of its components.
- Hydrocortisone is a steroid that attaches to steroid receptors present on cells, thus reducing inflammation, swelling and redness.
- Neomycin and Polymyxin B are antibiotics that kill the bacteria by damaging their structure and Bacitracin stops the growth of bacteria.
Interactions
Interactions with other medicines
- Neosporin H ear drops are meant for local application on the ear and thus is less likely to interact with other medicines taken orally. However, it may interact with other topically applied medicine on the ear. Discuss with your doctor if you are already on another topical medicine.
- Medicines like atracurium, cisatracurium, pancuronium should be used with caution along with Neosporin H ear drops.
