- Severe depression symptoms
Contraindications
- If you have a known allergy to Mirtazapine or other ingredients in this medication.
- If you are on an MAO inhibitor should not use this medication as it may cause severe side effects. The interval between taking Mirtee tablets should be at least 14 days.

Other General Warnings
- You have suicidal thoughts.
- You have the serotonin syndrome; a syndrome characterised by agitation, enhanced reflexes, tremor, sweating, dilated pupils, and diarrhoea.
- You experience any bone pain, edema, or bruising.
- You have a movement disorder characterised by restlessness and a strong desire to be constantly moving.
- You have Neuroleptic malignant syndrome.
- You have angle-closure glaucoma.
- You witness a decrease in libido and sexual dysfunction.
- You witness mania and if you have had bipolar illness.
- You have a heart or blood vessel problem.
- You witness an increase in appetite which causes you to gain weight.
Directions for Use
- Mirtee Tablet can be taken with or without food.
- Do not chew or crush the Mirtee Tablet; swallow it whole with a glass of water.
- Based on your medical condition and reaction to therapy, your doctor will determine how long you should take the Mirtee Tablet.
- While using this prescription, make sure to follow all of the directions on the label. Make sure you're taking the proper amount of medicine for the right amount of time.
- This medicine is usually given before night with plenty of water, although it is best to take it at a set time. The symptoms may take several weeks to improve. Do not stop taking suddenly.

Interactions with other medicines
- Mirtee Tablet may interact with the following medicines, either to cause CNS depression which might affect your ability to perform skilled tasks or serotonin syndrome, which includes symptoms like Agitation or restlessness, Insomnia, High blood pressure, Confusion, Rapid heart rate, Muscle rigidity, Dilated pupils, Loss of muscle coordination or twitching muscles, and even death:
- Monoamine oxidase inhibitors to treat depression (moclobemide, tranylcypromine, selegiline, nefazodone, duloxetine, sertraline, escitalopram) Antibiotics (erythromycin, linezolid)
- Anti-fungal (ketoconazole)
- Anti-TB (rifampicin)
- Antipsychotic (olanzapine, aripiprazole, quetiapine)
- Anti-convulsant (carbamazepine, phenytoin, pregabalin)
- Pain killer (tramadol, morphine, acetaminophen, hydrocodone)
- Antihistamine (cetirizine)
- Antacid (cimetidine)
- Blood thinner (warfarin)
- Anti-anxiety (alprazolam)
- Anti-hypertensive (metoprolol)
Interactions with food items
- Mirtee Tablets should not be taken with St. John's wort (a herbal medicine used to treat depression). Apart from this, there are no known interactions of Mirtee Tablets with any food.
