Contraindications of Mirdep 15 MG
- Do not take Mirdep 15 mg tablets or use with caution:
- If you are hypersensitive or allergic to Mirtazapine or other antidepressants and other inactive substances present in the medication
- If you take medications belonging to the group of monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOI). There should be a time gap of 14 days between your last dosage of MAOIs and this medication

- You have narrow-angle glaucoma, a condition in which the iris of the eye bulges forward and narrows the drainage angle. Mirdep 15 mg can worsen the condition.
- You have a history of serotonin syndrome that causes hallucinations, seizures, fever, excessive sweating, shivering, increased heart rate, changes in blood pressure etc.
- You have suicidal thoughts or experience a behaviour change. Any unusual symptoms or changes in behaviour should be reported to the doctor immediately.
- You want to discontinue the medicine. Suddenly stopping Mirdep 15 mg tablets may cause withdrawal symptoms, more so if the medicine has been used for a long time.

Mirdep 15 mg belongs to a class of medications known as antidepressants and contains mirtazapine as its active ingredient. It works by increasing the levels of certain chemical messengers in the brain responsible for influencing mood and personality. It increases the level of serotonin and norepinephrine in the brain. Serotonin is also known as the feel-good messenger and affects an individual's personality and mood. Norepinephrine improves energy levels and increases alertness.
