Medical Description

Leuprogon injection is a gonadotropin-releasing hormone (GnRH) agonist that contains leuprolide. It is used to treat advanced prostate cancer, endometriosis, uterine fibroids (leiomyomata), and central precocious puberty in children.

Leuprogon injection works by reducing sex hormone levels (testosterone in men and estrogen in women). Leuprogon injection is given as an injection by a trained nurse or doctor in a hospital or clinic setting.

Common side effects of Leuprogon injection treatment include hot flashes, sweating, headache, changes in sexual function, mood changes, joint or muscle pain, and weakness.

In case you develop symptoms like severe chest or abdominal pain, seizures, major vision changes, severe bone pain, breathing difficulty, or severe allergic symptoms, immediately report it to your doctor.

Before treatment, tell your doctor about any medical condition that affects you and all the medicine, vitamin, supplement, and herbal products you use.
