Largactil 50 mg is a medicine used to manage symptoms of severe mental illnesses caused due to psychotic disorders. It contains chlorpromazine that belongs to the group of antipsychotics. This medic

ine acts by blocking the sites of certain chemicals in the brain and has a calming effect on the brain. It controls aggressiveness and produces behavioural changes related to thoughts and perception. It also acts on several other centres in the brain and can be used to control symptoms such as vomiting, hiccups, and itching. Largactil 50 mg is not safe for elderly people with dementia. It is not advised for children under one year of age.

Directions for Use of Largactil 50 MG

Largactil 50 mg tablets are to be taken by mouth with a glass of water.
Swallow the medicine whole without crushing or biting on it.
It can be taken with or without food as this medicine does not upset the stomach.
Take the tablet around the same time every day.
Do not stop the medicine without talking to the doctor.
Check the expiry date on the strip of the medicine before taking it.
