L Ortin Tablets
Description
L Ortin Tablet is a medicine used to relieve symptoms of indigestion, hyperammonemia(increased blood ammonia levels), hepatic encephalopathy associated with liver diseases and inflammatory disorders
of the pancreas. This medicine is composed of two active ingredients: pancreatin and L-ornithine. Heartburn is an uncomfortable burning pain in the chest due to indigestion. Hepatic encephalopathy is a complication of liver disease in which the liver fails to remove ammonia from the blood. Ammonia is a toxic waste product that needs to be eliminated from the body. Ammonia can impair brain functions. The pancreas is an organ that produces digestive enzymes for the digestion of food. Inflammation of the pancreas can cause problems in the digestion of carbohydrates, proteins, and fats. L Ortin Tablet should be used cautiously in patients who have undergone gastrectomy(removal of the stomach) and are suffering from liver disease. Avoid alcohol while on this medicine. Regular exercise and a healthy diet should be supplemented with L Ortin Tablet to get maximum benefits from symptoms of indigestion. The doctor might advise you to undergo a liver function test regularly.
